Dirty Restaurants!

The other day I was flipping through my cable and Restaurant Impossible came on the TV. The show encompasses a chef making over dirty restaurants that are falling apart. This particular episode featured a filthy eatery; food was caked on the tile floor and even the appliances. And yet, food was still served.
How much do we really know about the food that we are eating at a restaurant? And what about the food at home?
Is it good to return food with hair found in it, or do you remove it and ignore the hair? Do you ask for a refund? Are dirty restaurants the problem or are our standards too high? What are your opinions?
