Description
A huge draw among the clued in urbanites since the day it opened, this Philippe Starck-designed restaurant sizzles with theatrical glamour, understated elegance and an irresistible sense of fun. The centerpiece of the soaring, bi-level dining room is a 25-foot tall illuminated image of a lush mountain and flowing waterfall, at the base of which sits Asia de Cuba’s signature glowing communal dining table. A myriad of intimate nooks line the perimeter, where high-backed white banquettes shrouded with billowing white curtains complete this dazzling picture.
Cuisine
Asia de Cuba’s unique sharing menu showcases an innovative fusion of Asian and Latin cuisine. Signature dishes include Tunapica--tuna tartare picadillo style with Spanish olives, black currants, almonds and coconut in a soy-lime vinaigrette served on wonton crisps; Cuban Spiced Chicken with Thai coconut sticky rice and avocado fruit salsa served with tamarind sauce; Char Sui Beef Short Ribs with congre tostones and chili orange mango; and Pan Seared Ahi Tuna served rare with crunchy wasabi mashed potatoes and cilantro chimichurri sauce
