Description
The year was 1937, when Italian immigrants, not long removed from Porto San Elpidio, their native city in Italy, opened a concept restaurant (before they called it concept) and the "Little Italy" Baltimore restaurant scene was born. Seventy-three years later the founders are gone, the sons are retired, yet the long committed staff carry on the Velleggia Legacy. Known as the BIG V, where the locals dine and drink, Velleggia's is still preparing those authentic Italian and Seafood dishes.
Miss Betty remains in the kitchen spanning the last five decades
preparing our wonderful soups and sauces.
